What we do
The whole project, managed properly
Solar projects can become complicated when different companies are responsible for different parts of the work. Sunbase brings everything together and makes sure each stage is properly coordinated.
We begin by looking at your property and electricity usage.
For a business, this normally means reviewing up to 12 months of electricity and half-hourly consumption data. For a home, we look at your electricity bills, roof space and when you use the most power.
We then help design the right system, explain the available funding options, coordinate the installation through our certified installation partner and manage the required grid and export applications.
Sunbase remains your point of contact before, during and after installation.
What we manage
Comprehensive end-to-end management tailored to your property
Solar design and installation
Your system is designed around your building, electricity usage and available roof space. Installation is completed by our MCS-certified installation partner, with the relevant electrical certification provided when the work is finished.
Funding options
You can purchase your system outright, explore asset finance or consider a power purchase agreement with no upfront capital cost. We explain how each option works, including the overall costs, ownership of the equipment and potential savings, so you can make an informed decision.
Battery storage
Battery storage can help you use more of the electricity generated by your solar panels. The battery is sized around your consumption, allowing excess daytime generation to be stored and used during the evening or at peak times, rather than immediately exporting it back to the grid.
Monitoring and carbon reporting
Your system can include live generation and performance monitoring. For businesses, this data can also support energy and Scope 2 carbon reporting by providing evidence of the renewable electricity generated on site.
The people behind Sunbase
A small team with direct answers
Sunbase is deliberately kept personal. You deal directly with the people managing your project rather than a large call centre or a constantly changing account team.
Josh — Founder
Josh oversees the business and technical side of each project, including electricity consumption analysis, system design coordination and funding options.
His role is to establish whether solar is suitable for the property and make sure the proposed system is based on realistic usage and generation figures.
Andy Doyle — Client relationships
Andy is normally your first point of contact and remains involved throughout the project.
He coordinates communication, answers questions and makes sure you understand what is happening at each stage, without high-pressure sales tactics.
Our installation partner
Portcullis Power Solutions
The physical installation, electrical work and roof mounting are carried out by Portcullis Power Solutions, our North West installation partner.
Sunbase manages the client relationship, project coordination and funding options, while Portcullis provides the certified electrical and installation expertise on site.
Our commitment
Straightforward guidance, realistic figures, zero pressure
Generation, savings and payback figures are based on your electricity usage, property and site conditions. They are presented as realistic estimates rather than guaranteed results.
There is no obligation to proceed after an initial assessment, and we will not pressure you into making a quick decision.
Solar can reduce the amount of grid electricity you use and lower the carbon emissions associated with your energy consumption. We will explain what can genuinely be measured and reported without making unsupported claims about carbon credits or guaranteed carbon income.
You deal with the same small team from your first conversation through to installation and aftercare.
